Samagra
Samagra approach has been part of a new strategy in enterprises promotion. Samagra is about an integrated approach to enterprises. In all eighteen projects have been initiated under Samagra across the 14 districts of the State. All the projects envisages integrated approach covering the entire value chain, bringing in technical support of professional agencies and experts, and convergence of the three-tier PRIs. -
Economic Empowerment
Economic empowerment, along with social empowerment and women empowerment is one of the central themes of Kudumbashree Mission. The Mission’s strategy is to promote economic empowerment of the poor and contribute to local economic development. The Mission has several programmes for economic empowerment targeting women and youth from the Kudumbashree family network. Major Kudumbashree programmes are collective farming, livestock farming, and enterprises. However, micro finance, which helps the poor in accessing institutional finance, has been the first initiative in local economic development. -
Ashraya
Ashraya is an integrated project aimed at identification and rehabilitation of destitute families. Started in 2002 as a follow up of the Kudumbashree initiative to identify the families that had been left out even from the outreach of decentralised planning and poverty alleviation programmes. -
Enterprises Project

Balasabha
The concept of Balasabha was introduced in Kudumbashree based on its understanding of poverty and its different manifestations. It was based on the realisation that enhancement of capabilities of children from poor families that inter-generational transmission of poverty could be prevented. -
BUDS School
BUDS Schools are free and open special schools for mentally challenged children of poor families. There are 62 BUDS Schools in the State, all owned and managed by the local government institutions under the support and guidance of Kudumbashree Mission and the community structure. -
